This was my research internship at SFU Surrey, BC, Canada – as part of the Mitacs Globalink Research Program, in the summer of 2015. I worked on a research project, in a team of 4, that tested human spatial orientation in virtual environments using a Harry Potter motif. We primarily used the game Engine Unity and the Oculus Rift DK2 along with the Razer Hydra controllers to do this. I was primarily a programmer, but my other role was to design the levels and integrate them into the game and make the game experiment friendly and its measurements of in-game parameters accurate. I was also the sound designer and voice actor for the game.
